ABOUT ME
I am Dr Lisa.
I have been an NHS doctor for 30 years and a GP for the last 20 years.
I am a qualified Lifestyle Physician ( British Society of Lifestyle Medicine) and I have a special interest in Obesity Medicine through SCOPE (Strategic Centre for Obesity Professional Education)- the only internationally recognised certification in Obesity Management.
For the last 10 years I have had the privilege of working with the most vulnerable people in society which has changed my outlook on medicine - that it's not just about prescribing medicine but rather seeing my patients holistically and enabling them to make lifestyle changes to improve their health.
In my most recent role, working in a secure establishment for men, I have been luckier than most GPs because I get to spend more time to get to the root cause of my patients' problems and I have seen how beneficial this can be.
I want to bring this to the wider community.
